WATTvalue : Nem12 Electricity usage Analyser & Plan comparison tool

For Australian eastern states that have the Aemo NEM12 data format available for electricity usage. Sorry, it’s geoblocked if outside AUS, as its no use to you and link will not work.

Now online at https://wattvalue.au

It’s provided free of charge for educational purposes. It’s in a testing phase and not guaranteed to always work out the best plan for you, as power retailers often have “fine print” that this program may not take into the calculations.

It’s grown from CLI to a Web Gui. Its WATTvalue and is written in GOlang .

You may find WATTvalue useful . You must load a NEM12.csv . I have only verified NEM12’s from Citipower , Ausnet, United Energy and Jemena.

The NEM’s, you upload don’t have the NMI (meter number) detected at all . And Nems cached in memory are deleted after your session.

Jemena have their own portal download format, now supported, but all networks should offer a detailed NEM12 file that gives you 2 years of historical data, if requested and often downloadable from their website.

All VIC networks supported. Also trialing AUSGRID (NSW), SA Power Networks, and Energex (QLD) . I will add the other networks later.

The NEM12 you download from your Network provider or request by email should be the “detailed NEM12.csv”, not summary. (something like: xxxxx_AUSNETSERVICES_NEM12DETAILED.csv.)

Images below show the sequence: Firstly Load Nem12.csv .
